About Ryan
I have worked as a private tutor and college admissions consultant for 10+ years, beginning in high school and continuing throughout my time at Harvard. Over these years I have helped dozens of students enter the Ivy Leagues and top 20 US universities, as well as Oxford, Cambridge, and Russell Group schools in the UK. (My experience beyond education is at the bottom)
Cumulatively I have thousands of hours of experience across college applications and admissions, as well as mathematics, essays/English, physics, exam prep (ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and several others), all humanities and more. I have worked with clients from around the world, and have direct experience living and working in a number of countries outside the US (including Europe and the UK, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, etc.).
Beyond education have worked in a number of roles with several governments, and work as an entrepreneurship advisor at Harvard Business School and as a coordinator for African affairs at Harvard Law School.

My lessons are for middle school, high school, and university students.
I adapt my methodology to the student and to their target: for college admissions I am very hands-on and help to build exceptional resumes, activities, and essays while drawing on a global network to create opportunities for students when pertinent.
Academically I believe in the Socratic method, where we rely on question and answer dialogue to drive critical thinking and walk through problems, and am happy to spend devoted time explaining concepts and lessons from first principles.
I will always get a sense of where you are as a student when we meet so that we don't waste time and can immediately get to supporting you.
