About Melanie
I am a teacher of one 20 years experience in teaching maths, physics and general science form ages 11 -18. I work with young people of all ages to support them in achieving the best for them. Understanding of different learning styles and with expertise in helping young people overcome maths anxiety an exam stress.

I am known for my kinaesthetic approach to teaching and work with groups to encourage mathematical understanding of mathematical concepts. It's ok to make mistakes- in fact sometimes that the route to success. With a focus on developing problem solving strategies I encourage learners to reflect on their approach and develop transferable skills in critical thinking. If you don't like maths, then try a different way of looking at it.
