About Hailey

From my education at UConn, I have experience teaching as a full-time student teacher at the Connecticut IB Academy in East Hartford. I have also observed classrooms in Windsor, South Windsor, and Glastonbury, CT. I have taken advanced mathematics classes including non-Euclidean geometry, multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, number theory, statistics, and probability.

Less formally, I gained teaching experience as a lifeguard instructor for Ellis and Associates. With E&A, I taught CPR, basic life support, and other lifeguarding skills.

I am currently getting certified to teach English to students learning English as a second language! While it is not math, I believe that educators should aim to constantly improve themselves and their methods, and this is part of how I choose to do so for myself.

About the lesson

My lessons are best for secondary and post-secondary students looking to improve their math skills. We can discuss goals, strengths, and weaknesses before beginning lessons. I always start off with a pre-test to determine your current level of understanding. It might sound scary, but I just need to know where you're starting from!
