About James

After many years of teaching and research at university, I transitioned to high school teaching, especially in lower secondary science and math for 15 years. I went back to working in tertiary institutions until retirement. My enthusiasm for teaching has drawn me back to wanting to do tutoring in my spare time.

About the lesson

We start with me appraising your level of grasp of the subject matter of the lessons you are currently doing at your school, also your style of learning. I don’t talk at you or get the answers for you but assist you solve the problems yourself. We shall set goals together so that you and I can monitor your progress.
