About Alexandra
I am an MSc-trained educator with a background in neuroscience and neurodevelopmental research, including ADHD. I earned my Master of Science from the University of Toronto and have experience supporting elementary-aged learners both academically and at home. As a parent of three elementary-school-aged children, I bring a practical, patient, and developmentally informed perspective to my teaching. I value clear communication, structure, and creating a calm learning environment where students can build confidence and succeed.

I offer Grade 3–8 math lessons focused on building strong foundations, confidence, and real understanding. Lessons are tailored to each student and taught in a clear, calm, and structured way. Drawing on my background in neuroscience and graduate-level study of ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions, I use strategies that support attention, working memory, and organization. Students learn why math works, not just how to follow steps, helping them feel less anxious and more capable in class.
Lessons are primarily offered online. Limited in-person sessions may be available at my home for local students, by arrangement.
