About Vanessa

I am a Business Management student from Germany who has come to live in Dundee, Scotland. This is my first time giving anyone private lessons, however, I've always loved helping people with German back at school and several uni friends have come to me for help with their German coursework. So far they have been happy with my help.

About the lesson

I am willing to give lessons to anyone who needs it. I would start my lesson with a vocabulary revision and then attend to the needs of the students and try to explain whatever they did not understand in class. I am patient and a good listener as well as good at explaining things to others. I will also try to hold the conversation primarily in the language the student needs help with as this is a great way of learning.

Rachael

Vanessa is always willing to help me with my German uni work, whether it is for an essay, translations or preparation for speaking assessments. She always provides positive feedback as well as constructive criticism. In addition to correcting mistakes she offers alternative sentence structures, which in turn broadens my vocabulary and understanding of German grammar. She always manages to look over and return work in a short time period. Her encouraging, kind and helpful nature makes her so approachable and she is always my first point of call for assistance on my German homework.
