Karen has supported me through Y11 in a multitude of ways. From boosting my overall maths grade to helping me gain the confidence to push myself in order to reach my potential. This has been overwhelmingly helpful in not only maths, but the rest of my studies as she has encouraged me to change my approach to seemingly complex problems. I couldn’t be more thankful. Karen is so easy to get along with and incredibly passionate with what she does. She is truly amazing!

I had Karen for 2 years up to my GCSEs and now she has my sister for hers. It is evident that Karen cares about education and has a desire for every student she teaches to do well. She supported me and helped me with every problem, even when I didn’t get it she didn’t give up and helped me to understand it. Karen helped me to feel more confident and spent the time helping me understand maths which I was struggling with. She explained things clearly and encouraged me to challenge myself. I sought a Maths tutor online to boost the knowledge of my daughter (12 years) who was capable, but had no confidence in the subject. I found Karen, and it was the best move I ever made.
You cannot beat experience. Karen will have seen many pupils throughout her career – various personality types and capabilities – and she quickly had my daughter sussed. Her strengths, her weaknesses, and the best way to tackle topics with her.
Karen rejects the ‘one size fits all’ maths teaching, so commonly found in our hard-pressed schools. She sees the child. First and last. And she never, ever, watches the clock. The session finishes when it comes to a natural end. Nothing is ever forced. She then logs off, and prepares homework slides, plus a comprehensive review of the previous lesson (which must take ages), and emails them back, asap. She is certainly value for money.
How would I describe Karen? Gentle, kind, super-encouraging, conscientious, warm, funny, and very smart (obviously!) She clearly loves to teach, and see her pupils thrive. She's transformed my daughter, who is now in the top set for maths.
I have no hesitation in recommending this tutor. Such a wonderful, genuine, human being. Karen is the real deal - and we absolutely love her!

Karen has tutored both my daughters at GCSE level. I have found her to be highly professional and very understanding in her approach to tutoring teens. Before you came to teach Fawzah, she was sinking in maths and her self-confidence was drowning. You came as a saving grace and taught her how to swim up in maths. You shifted her feelings from hating to liking maths. She grew in confidence and surprised me when she taught her friends several topics. You are an amazing teacher and a wonderful human being.
