About Helen
Hello, my name's Helen. I'm currently living in Bacup, Rossendale. I was educated in a Grammar School where I achieved good grades in all the classics. I then studied Media, Drama and Art at the school's adjoining Sixth Form and achieved A/B/B respectively.
I went on to study Occupational Therapy at York St John University, qualifying in 2010 and have since been working as a health professional in a variety of hospitals and community teams. This has given me extra insight into human biology as well as an analytical mind and problem solving skills.
Most recently I have been working as a teaching assistant in a special needs school and comprehensive secondary school respectively.
Tutoring is fairly new to me but I am excited to help progress a child's learning using my experience and knowledge.
My interests and passions include art, marine biology (specifically whales and dolphins), acting, film making and media studies, English language/ literacy, history and environmental issues.
