About Karl
I am a 1993 graduate of The University of Houston (cum laude) were I studied math and business. I have worked in banking, education, transportation/logistics, hospitality and finance. I will always expect my students to be as prepared as I am for each lesson, and I will set reasonable expectations for improvement and performance based on individual competency levels. Also I will NOT allow students recreational use of their cell phones during lessons, ever.

I use the Socratic Method to help my pupils gain a deeper understanding of the material, how to better navigate its concepts & processes and eventually obviate their need for a tutor. My ideal student is high school level, pre-university or early university. Most of my education and experience is in business and math, but my first love is English, both composition and grammar. It disheartens me to see how poor today's students' writing skills have gotten, and I would like to be a part of this solution.
