About Ryan

Hello! I am a former teacher and taught many different subjects, but math is my favorite! I am originally from California but recently moved to San Antonio, Texas. I love to math because we use numbers every day. They are integral to everyday life and I love seeing the "light bulb" of understanding math show up in all my students when they realize they are not just problems - they are all around us!

About the lesson

I have over 1,600 hours of classroom instruction in the field of mathematics. My lessons go in-depth and follow this basic structure: key vocabulary understanding, sample problem walk-throughs, and real-world examples that utilize problem-based learning to strengthen the connection between the mathematical theory and practical applications. These lessons are targeted for anyone in grades 7-10 who need assistance in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
