About Aaron
I spent over 10 years teaching high school math and physics before returning to school to study data science. I have a lot of experience teaching, tutoring, and learning, and I love it. That said, I didn't always. In high school I failed several math classes and almost didn't graduate.
My goal is to find ways to help my students stay motivated, make sense of the content, and build a routine so they can study and learn effectively every week. I also love trekking in the mountains, sailing on the sea, and playing music.

To help students reach their goals, I focus on sense-making, motivation and keeping study interesting, and building self-confidence. My years as a public high school teacher helped me build lesson plans and work with students across an array of learning styles and needs.
Once we're into a routine we will typically:
- Start with reviewing and checking in about our learning sequence
- Address main ideas and questions for the week
- Do some content work -- sample problems and activities, HW, etc.
- Review Coursework
- And build a study plan for the week
I'm here to help you earn the grades and scores you're aiming for by keeping study plans focused and using tutoring sessions to build understanding and confidence.
