About Marissa
Hello! I am a former math teacher of 11 years. I have taught subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus. I have a passion for teaching and focusing on individual needs when it comes to learning. I consider myself patient and skilled at gaining the understanding of where students are, and creating meaningful lessons and examples to bring relevancy to math. My teaching approach has always been student centered. I believe in meeting students where they are and filling in any gaps necessary in order to conceptually understand the lessons. I specialize in high school math subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus.
