Food technology student at leeds university, offering mathematics tutoring, experience in tutoring at GCSE and A-level

About the lesson

Hello all, I am a food science student currently working towards a BSc degree, with the hope of a career in teaching mathematics.
I have had experience in delivering 1 to 1 lessons at GCSE level, we spent a few minutes exploring the theory of mathematics together, followed by concise teaching of the topic and application. The rest of the lesson focused on practice, either by worked examples or set questions.
I also delivered a number of statistics tutorials at A-level, this was in the exam revision time and was more lecture style, by recapping the key concepts and working through short exam-style questions.
The key to success in mathematics is practice of methods, and expanding your problem-solving skills to know how to approach and solve and particular problem you may be faced with. My lessons focus on adding to your toolbox of mathematical methods and application of these to mathematical problems.
