About Sophie
Maths has always been my favourite subject despite choosing medicine as my degree. During A-levels I took a couple of classes from previous students and found that their teaching was very useful and well suited to myself. This experience has also made me want to teach younger students to help them the same way in which I received help. I have already done some maths lessons at my secondary school for GCSE students and hope to continue this now I have moved on to medical school!

I learnt mathematics in various different ways (i.e. Chinese and Japanese) myself and believe this could be useful for students who may find using the standard taught methods difficult. I hope to encourage students to find methods that work best for them as this is something that really helped me during GCSEs and A-levels. Different working out methods can not only be useful for students but also more efficient and practical, saving time which is important in exams. This experience should help me tailor teaching a bit more for students!
