About Jacob
I am a full time student at UCLA going into my third year studying mathematics. I got into tutoring in my sophomore year of high school when I started teaching a family friend's child geometry. Since then I have done over 300 hours of teaching (>200 paid hours) in subjects ranging from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Geometry, to English, Spanish, and Chess. I tutored a wide variety of ages as well and I prefer to work with older students, such as high schoolers but I am also open to working with middle or elementary schoolers.

I know that the best way to learn things are through lots of practice, so I like to quickly review recent homework assignments or tests with my students and then create new similar practice problems from them to strengthen those concepts and skills.
I have had the privilege of teaching a lot of students who are interested in getting ahead of their curriculum, and with them, I bring additional challenge problems from the many advanced Math and science courses I have taken in high school and college to teach problem solving skills and make my lessons more exciting.
