About Kat
I started off teaching dog training classes right out of high school. Then got the opportunity to teach toddler music and Gymboree Play & Music. After that I got hired to teach piano at a music center and was chosen to go through the extensive Yamaha music education system program.
I taught Yamaha music classes for 6 years and have a certificate in music arranging, composition, and production from HCC. In addition is have a B.S. in pre-counseling psychology, which taught me many developmental theories that aid in me meeting each student where they are at.

Start with building rapport and creating a positive mind set. Then asses where they are with reading and technique.
Toddlers to teens. Serious to recreational. I have taught them all. Even some adults and special needs.
Make sure it is someone you feel good around. Learning is best when in a positive environment.
