About Alan
I am a National Board Certiified Teacher, specializing in Mathematics for Adolescents/Young Adults ages 14 to 18. I have a Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching, a bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley, and have been tutoring privately since leaving The Princeton Review as a Master Tutor. I can come to you for private session in your home within Calaveras County, or we can schedule a Zoom session anywhere in the world. I love to take the mystery out of subjects considered complex and make them approachable, even fun, for my tutees. I have high energy and share infectious curiosity with my students, so they can become life-long learners!
