About Joseph
I'm a current student at Utah State University studying physics, with minors in mathematics and computer science. In mathematics, I specialize in calculus: I've completed calculus I, II, and III, as well as ordinary and partial differential equations. Although calculus is my strength, I'm comfortable in most fields (discrete math being a notable exception). In physics, I mostly specialize in classical mechanics, however I have basic knowledge of most beginner to intermediate courses. I believe the best way to gain a deep understanding of a topic in math or physics is to be able to derive it from first principles; this is something I do with all formulas or equations, unless the derivation is outside the scope of the course. Understanding why something works is they key to being able to use it effectively.
