About Elena

I began teaching by tutoring my younger siblings and family members by helping them with their homework and preparing for their exams. I would then be recommended to family friends and coworkers to tutor their children. I have gotten the opportunity to tutor students through word of mouth up until now!

I graduated high school in the top 6% with an ID diploma with HL credit in Biology and Math. I am currently a junior in college with a 3.75 GPA on the Pre-Med track. Throughout college, I have tutored students in grades 4 through 10 for test preparations or help with homework.

About the lesson

I love working with new students! When working with a new student, I first aim to understand what the goals of the student are through discussion. I also prioritize understanding how the student learns so I can approach their session with the most effective method. By understanding each student's goals and preferences, I am able to create a personalized study plan that helps my student reach those goals.

I have worked with a wide variety of students in DFW. These students have struggled with ADD/ADHD, understanding concepts, or with discipline and motivation. I am open to working with all types of students to aid in their educational journey!

Elena tutored me for my 8th grade history class. I struggled a lot with figuring out the best way to make connections and study for my exams. She helped me figure out what worked best for me and was very patient and helpful.
