About Mitchell
During high school and my years at university I have learned many great study habits and tricks for success. Tips on note taking, studying for exams(tests, quizzes, etc.), and help being prepared for success are a few things that help me stand out as a tutor. These are things that have helped me in the past and I’m excited for new opportunities to help others learn and achieve success.
I enjoy helping fellow students with success and being able to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years.
It all started with helping my younger brother with his math homework. Helping him and seeing him understand a topic that I was explaining showed me that I could help teach others that need it.
I just finished my third year at Iowa State University studying Computer Engineering. I have taken many math classes there including College Math, Pre Calculus, Calculus I, Calulus II, and Differential Equations. All of these classes require a good understanding of basic algebraic and geometric principles, tips and tricks.

Everybody learns differently so it’s important to figure out how a student learns and what struggles in the learning process they have so they can be properly assisted.
Do a self assessment and really try and break down why it is you’re struggling. If a student goes to class and doesn’t listen/pay attention and doesn’t put forth any effort then they aren’t giving themselves a chance to succeed. If your not giving yourself a chance to succeed then a tutor will be of very little help. But, if your putting forth effort and you are really struggling to understand and progress then seek help.
Give yourself the chance to succeed and you might just surprise yourself!
