About Victoria
I am a very friendly person who works well with kids. I love to teach and love seeing the moment when kids finally understand a concept. I am a very interactive teacher and try to give examples and explain things as students attempt to do the problems. My aim is to guide my students to the right answer instead of telling them everything right away. My hours are very flexible and I have a large availability, so I can always accomodate to your schedule. I'd love to start out with one session and see if we fit each other and will work well together. I hope to be in contact with you soon!
My favorite part about tutoring is that I can help people understand things that they might have thought they'd never get. I love when I see someone's face light up and they get excited to do problems/work because they finally understand it. It makes me proud and I feel like I made an impact on their life. I also enjoy teaching subjects that I genuinely enjoy learning about as well. It's quite nice to feel like I might be able to introduce someone to something that they might feel passionately about in the future.
I am currently a sophomore attending UCR. I am a biology major and have taken a multitude of science classes during my time in college. I took many advance math classes throughout high school and feel confident teaching this type of material to students.
I also love to teach students about different study habits that I've found that work for me and maybe other study skills that work for other people I know.

I will typically start with a trial session to see how we work together and if I will be able to help a student with what they need. If they are comfortable working with me, I continue lessons.
The first session is for me to see problems and concepts that the student does not understand. I also like to get a general overview of their goals for tutoring and if there are any immediate things that we should be getting ready for (ex. tests, finals). I will work through some practice problems and go over things with them and introduce the topic for our next lesson so that the student is prepared. For the next lesson, I will prepare new material and also find short videos that may be able to explain the content in a way that is easily understandable and more engaging for the student.

I will typically gauge my pricing based on a student's needs and the average pricing on this website. I am very flexible when it comes to pricing, so I'd be more than willing to accommodate for families that may be struggling, especially because of the circumstances today.
However, please understand that I am also a college student needing to pay bills and keep myself afloat.
