About Ma Aida
I retired from International School Manila in 2000 after 29 years of teaching HS Math. Since then, I have been tutoring HS math including test preparation in SAT I & II, ACT and IB Math. According to my students (almost 100), I have been instrumental to their success in achieving their goals for higher education.

I am a certified math teacher and tutor mostly high school students.
I find that "going back to basics" is always helpful, so I approach a topic by relating basic concepts to the new lesson and giving examples from simple to more complex ones and integrate the lesson to other past lessons.
I adjust to the student. If needed, I would repeat the lesson or show another method/technique of solving a problem.

My rates would range from $20 - 40 depending on the needs of the student.
My travel cost would be the same since I prefer to teach close to my place.
If I am notified at least 1 day before our scheduled meeting, I will not charge anything; otherwise, I expect to receive payment for the missed lesson.
