About Samantha
Hi, I’m Samantha! A dedicated public speaking and literature tutor passionate about helping students express themselves with clarity, confidence, and purpose. I have a strong background in both competitive public speaking and academic excellence, and I bring that experience into every lesson I teach.
I have won multiple public speaking competitions across Western Australia, including serving as Club and Regional Winner for Lions Youth of the Year. I was awarded the Bill Collidge OAM Prize and the President’s Encouragement Award from the Royal Commonwealth Society for leadership and speaking. I also placed first in the WA State Finals of the Plain English Speaking Competition, and proudly represented Western Australia at the National Finals.
Academically, I achieved the Literature Subject Prize in both Year 11 and Year 12, reflecting my love for reading, analysis, and expressive communication. I also received my school’s most prestigious Year 12 Leadership and Public Speaking Prize, recognising my contribution to communication, service, and community involvement!
Beyond competitions, I have hands-on experience in youth leadership, community engagement, and charitable work, including involvement in political and community organisations where communication, advocacy, and teamwork are essential. I also volunteer with young children, which has strengthened my ability to teach with patience, warmth, and encouragement.
These experiences shaped my belief that anyone—regardless of age or confidence level, can become a clear, capable, and persuasive speaker with the right support!

I teach online or face to face (with the best results usually coming from in-person sessions).

Targeted coaching, guided practice, constructive, supportive feedback, learning booklets and worksheets, weekly tasks to continue growing between sessions and I also review your tasks throughout the week so progress doesn’t stop after the lesson.
