About Lily
Hi, I'm Lily!
I'm a Computer Science graduate (Magna Cum Laude) and a lead AP Calculus BC teacher — and honestly, few things excite me more than the moment a student goes from confused to confident.
I started teaching because I genuinely love these subjects and I know firsthand how discouraging it can feel to struggle with math or CS. I wanted to be the kind of guide I wished I'd had — someone who doesn't just explain, but actually helps things click. That drive hasn't gone away. It's what gets me into the classroom every day.
My students would describe me as energetic, structured, and real with them. I don't believe in making math feel more mysterious than it needs to be. I break things down, use analogies that actually make sense, and build lessons around doing— because practice is where confidence is built, not just understanding.

Hi, I'm Lily!
I'm a CS graduate (Magna Cum Laude) and lead AP Calculus BC teacher who tutors math and computer science from middle school through AP level — and I'm here to make both subjects actually make sense.
How I teach:
I keep explanations short, use analogies to make things click, and spend most of our time doing problems together. Every session follows a simple framework: What do I know? What do I want? What tools connect them? — so you leave with a method, not just an answer.
A typical session:
Quick check-in → focused concept review → guided practice → you try it solo → feedback & next steps. Efficient, personalized, and always moving forward.
What sets me apart:
I teach AP Calculus in a real classroom every day, so I know exactly what exams test and where students get stuck. My CS background means I can connect mathematical and computational thinking in ways most tutors can't.
