Oral Skills teacher - Gimnasio Vermont - Bogota, Colombia - 7 months
- I taught transition (preschool). Each class had between 25 and 30 pupils.
- I taught English, but specifically Oral Skills which had a focus on verbal communication.
- I had to plan lessons and regularly assess pupils.
- I helped plan Oral Skills events for the whole of preschool.

- I taught sixth and seventh graders. Each classed contained between 20 and 25 students of mixed ability students.
- I focused on grammar, vocabulary and verbal communication.
- I had to regularly prepared pop quizzes and final exams.

I believe the class should be built around the students' needs. After finding out what you need and want, I would plan around that. I also believe that the best way to practice a language is practice, practice and practice.
I teach grammar and vocabulary practically. One teaching examples, I would then create activities in which you would practice as if you were in the real world so you would get a real experience as possible. That way it's not only relevant but it's useful.
