I am a 4th-year business administration student and a 5-year professional MBA candidate attending Florida A&M University's School of Business and Industry. I tutored my friends and the youth at my church in Algebra I&II, Pre-Calc, and Calc, Finite Mathematics, and Financial and Managerial Accounting.

How I've tutored my friends and others were through showing examples by completing a couple of easy problems and hard problems. After demonstrating how to complete the said problem, I would then have the tutee try some easy problem and a few hard problems to determine mastery. I use this method because I find it easier for myself to learn through examples as well - which is why I excelled higher than my pears in Highschool and now in college. In addition, I use visual presentations such as videos to help build a better understanding of the topic if confusion still persist.

I usually charge a blanket rate for all students; however, if the tutee shows/demonstrates low proficiency and that it will take a while for the student to learn, the rate may raise or lower.
