About Yash
I’m wasn’t one of those average math nerds that automatically understood abstract concepts by just listening to the teacher. I was someone who only understood concepts when I was able to find a practical use for the concept: calculus for understanding acceleration, velocity, and position, geometry to understand physical phenomena, quadratic formula to understand profits in the real world, etc. You name the concept, I probably had to come up with a real world use for it. And that relationship with math helped me become extremely successful in high school & now college as well. I achieved a 1530 SAT Score (800 Math), as well as a 34 ACT Score (36 Math, 35 Science), & a 5 in AP Calculus BC. I also competed in Mu Alpha Theta State & National Competitions & Conventions and won awards numerous times, including 11th place in Florida State Convention in Statistics & 14th place in the National Convention in Calculus Applications. The cherry on top for my high school career was winning First Place in the World in the American Scholastic Mathematics Association’s Annual Contest (2022-23) with a perfect score maintained across the academic year.

I focus on working the basics & fundamentals to help make understanding more complex math & concepts easier for you, with or without my help. I’ll make sure you see math less as a memory game and more as a connecting of the dots (or the fundamentals in this case). I’m a recent high school graduate & understand the complexities and rigor of AP & Honors math classes and exams, while also being a successful “mathlete” in regional, state, national, and international competition. My classes are mainly for High School students and Underclassmen in College/University.
