The way I teach differs when teaching a group than when teaching an individual students. In a group I try to engage everything student firstly by bringing to their attention a bit of background content of whatever that lesson is about, before going into the content. I allow questions at any point during the lesson. For individuals I focus firstly on what the student already knows if there is any and then again give a bit of background before getting into the main content.
