About Joanna
A passionate Mechanical Engineer with a masters in engineering and business finance.
Over 10 years of tutoring experience with a range of over 60 students. Children practicing for secondary school entry exams have also benefited from tutoring constructed to give them to tools to stand out against the rest.
Specialist subjects are Physics and Mathematics, although Biology, Chemistry, Accounting are often taught at GCSE/IGCSE level through to A Level.
Supporting the learning of pupils who are high achieving, Dyslexic and Dyscalculia. Proud to have taken many students beyond their grade goals with a mutual effort and dedication to teach and to learn.

My approach to tutoring is always tailored to my learner, I am completely flexible and I prefer to agree methods based on supporting learning most effectively.
Methods which have worked well in the past are grouping topics together and condensing them with supporting notes. These groupings are often different to the textbook and make it easier for a learning to get make the appropriate links, often tested in exams. Another method has been to support with revision from past papers to assess gaps in knowledge.
