With teaching assistantship experience, I feel it is important to establish 1-1 relationship with students to ensure maximum benefits.
I would like to ask open ended questions, probing questions and rephrase questions if needed - to encourage students to think from different perspectives.
I also think it’s important to listen actively to understand the level of understanding of the student
Encourage students to provide a summary of what they have learnt in their own words before moving on to the next topic
Explain with examples/visual representations wherever necessary
