About Shawn
I have always been more analytical even as a child. I graduated elementary school with the highest grade in my class and grade level. This was a turning point for me- it boosted my confidence in mathematics and placed me on a path to challenge mathematical thinking. I excelled in calculus and algebra courses in college and found them interesting, even opting to take Calculus II which was not mandatory for my degree matriculation.

I enjoy using technology & games in my lessons. Quizzes, iReady and Kahoots. Daily Do how’s that build off each other. Prefer inquiry-based science & Cognitive Guided Instruction. This puts the thinking primarily on students through open-ended questions and facilitation on student-driven discussions.
