About Jamie
28 year teacher. 16 year tutor. If you can receive better math tutelage, you should take it. I have yet to experience anything less than significant gains with all of my students. I have the language of math that others often don't yet have. Once they "see" how math is constructed, its logic, math becomes much easier to process.

We will calmly work toward a deep understanding of the math you have in class. We are not focusing on a single test, but that is possible. It's bringing you to a place where the test is irrelevant. You will come to know your ability, learning profile, and work ethic. Once these are understood, we will build your foundational understanding of the early elements of math. You will have a complete knowledge of numbers in all of their formats. You will know mental arithmetic in increasingly confident ways that are not math itself, but a skill that needs to be sharp. You will apply logic and reasoning in every step you take. Ultimately, you will face algebra, geometry, problem solving and every other task with a deeper understanding and confidence that will enable you to face challenges in class with relaxation. A proper attitude and energy are a must. You must be prepared to learn not just with tools but mindset and dedication. Serious students only. I help anyone who wants to work at helping themselves. I am particularly successful with students who struggle significantly with math. My students often refer to me as kind and "good at teaching math".
