About Jardin
I like to meet students face to face as I believe this aids in conveying information clearly, while providing a higher likelihood for students to fully grasp concepts.
Most of the time the students I tutor know exactly what they want from me, but when this is not the case I take the following steps:
- I start my lessons by asking students what area they would like to focus on and then follow up with what they are struggling with around that area.
- From there I try to analyse if there are gaps in fundamental ideas that can help with a better understanding of the subject.
- After taking some time to work through the fundamentals of the subject I move onto some worked examples that are usually supplied by the student.
If the student is not happy with the level of tutoring I am happy to remedy the situation, as the last thing I want to do is rip anyone off.

I am an electronic engineer currently working as a research officer at Auckland University of technology. My highest qualification is a Master of Engineering in the Biomedical field.
For 3 years while completing my undergraduate studies, I was an engineering tutor for all levels at AUT. Previous to this, I also worked at number works and words as a math tutor for school kids aged 5-17. I am happy to tutor all levels up to 3rd year engineering mathematics.
I am based in west Auckland but am happy to make arrangements to meet outside of this area depending on the situation.

The rates specified are an approximation. Depending on the level of the student and the distance travelled these rates are subject to change. This will obviously be arranged beforehand by myself and the student. A 50% fee will apply to any cancellation made within 24 hours of the booked lesson.
