About Gabe

I’m an Electrical Engineering student with a strong background in circuit design, PCB layout, and programming (C, Python, MATLAB). I specialize in breaking down complex topics into clear, step-by-step explanations and helping students and clients get real results, whether that’s acing a circuits exam, debugging code, or turning an idea into a manufacturable PCB. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and focused on making sure you understand the “why,” not just the answer.

I tutor the way engineers actually learn: clear concepts to guided practice to independent problem-solving. My goal isn’t just to get you through one homework question, it’s to make sure you can repeat the process on your own for quizzes and exams.

Concept-first, then application: We start with the “why” behind the formula so you’re not memorizing steps blindly.

Step-by-step problem solving: I show a repeatable method (setup, assumptions, equations, solve, check).

Guided practice: You do the work while I coach and correct in real time (this builds confidence fast).

Error-driven learning: If you make a mistake, we pause and fix the reason it happened (units, sign, wrong domain, wrong model, etc.).

Tools when useful: MATLAB/Python or a calculator check to verify results and build intuition (especially for signals/circuits).

A typical lesson plan (60 minutes)

5 min Goal check: What topic are we on, what assignment/exam is coming up, what’s confusing?

10–15 min Quick explanation: Core idea + 1 mini example (clean and simple).

30 min Work problems together: You solve while I guide your setup and reasoning.

5–10 min “You drive” problem: You solve a similar problem mostly on your own.

2–5 min Wrap-up plan: Key takeaways + what to practice next + next session goals.

After the session, I can send a short recap: main steps, common mistakes, and practice suggestions.

Engineering mindset: I teach you how to think through problems, not just copy a solution.

Strong debugging + math foundation: Great for students who are stuck on logic errors, messy algebra, or code that “almost works.”

Clear communication: I translate technical concepts into plain language, then build back up to the formal method.

Efficiency: I focus on the highest-impact topics first (the stuff that shows up most on exams).

Practical support: If you’re using MATLAB/Python/C for a course, I can help you connect theory to working code.

I work best with:

High school students in advanced math/physics (AP Calc, AP Physics)

College students (freshman–junior) in engineering/CS courses, especially:

Calculus I–III

Physics (mechanics, E&M)

Circuits I/II (DC/AC, phasors, Thevenin/Norton, op-amps, Laplace & s-domain)

Signals/DSP fundamentals (sampling, filters, Fourier basics)

Programming help: C, MATLAB, Python (debugging, logic, assignments, basic data structures, plotting)
