About Bakko
Hi I’m Bakko, a Mathematics student at the University of York. I have a deep passion for Maths and I hope to help others understand and enjoy it themselves. Only 5 years ago, I was taking GCSE Maths exams which leads me to have a unique perspective and knowledge of the experience students will be going through today.

My style of teaching focuses on helping GCSE Maths students to understand the methods they are using and open up their mind to different ways of tackling the same problem. In a one hour lesson we would focus on highlighting current issues students may have and isolating the reasons they struggle with particular topics. Through this the student would be able to build up their ability to tackle problems in stages and ultimately gain confidence they can complete the same problems within exam conditions. I have plenty of experience teaching GCSE Maths students as I would regularly teach students in drop-in sessions who wanted extra 1-1 support. I also have experience as a teaching assistant so I have a good knowledge of methods used in classrooms and how these may not always be suited to every student.
