About Alicia
In my grade school and high school experiences, I have given tutoring sessions to over 25 students. I specialize in mathematics from remedial arithmetic to calculus. As a child, I have continued to excel in math and would love to be able to help those when I can. I look forward to working with you!

I approach each topic in a similar fashion. I begin by reading the problem and taking out the three necessary things in every problem: know, want to know, and calculations. We begin with what we know because it allows the student to get a grasp on the information that is given to us in the problem. From there we find out what the question is asking and see if there are any equations that we know of that could help with this problem. From there we begin the calculations. It may seem difficult and overwhelming but I find it best to take it one step at a time to confirm our answer is correct. Should the child answer incorrectly, I find it helpful not to discourage them but to take a step back and see what went wrong in showing their work and see if we can pinpoint the error and work on that.
