About Paula
I am a certified classical pianist from the Conservatory of Music in Maracaibo, Venezuela. My main teachers studied with renowned pianist from around the world, and I have received master classes from world class pianists such as Monique Duphil and Alessio Bax. I have played solo and as an accompanying pianist in chamber music groups and with choirs. I have taught as an assistant teacher at the Conservatory and given private instruction to students of different ages and backgrounds. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and speak Spanish (native), English and French.

I have a comprehensive approach towards teaching and like to include rote pieces (learning patterns by imitation), reading pieces, theory as well as simple improvisation, to develop an all-round musician, always respecting the student’s personal needs and desires. I believe music is more than notes on paper, and the goal is to communicate your ideas whether it is about a written piece of music or your own compositions, regardless if you’ve just started or you are a more experienced pianist. Perfect! Paula is very knowledge and my 10yrs old son instantly like her. She evaluated him and started to work on a plan based on the areas she believes needed to be strengthen. We are very excited to have found her and we look forward to her piano lessons.
Perfect! Paula is an excellent piano teacher. She is patient, flexible, and very encouraging. Our children (7 y/o and 11 y/o) really enjoy her lessons and are learning a lot. We highly recommend Paula!

For me Paula is the best teacher you can have. She is such a fine artist, teacher and performer. I know her more than 10 years and i can't recommend her highly enough to all piano lovers children or adults. If you are looking for profesionalism and progress you already have the best one.
Excellent piano student that became the best piano teacher! I was her piano teacher since she was 7 years old and she knows what is the most important message, instruction and technique for each level!
Where should I start? As a piano colleague, she's one of the best collaborators I've found in my way; as a teacher, she's sweet, patient, committed, detailed and down to earth. As a performer, Paula is intuitive and sensitive, and always looks for the best she can give. I'd give it a shot if I were you ;)
