About Alya
As a dedicated and hardworking Grade 12 student, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and creating a comfortable learning environment. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities while improving their understanding of subjects in a stress-free and supportive way.
Through my experience as a camp counselor and competitive dancer, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills that allow me to connect easily with younger students. I am organized, responsible, and committed to making every lesson engaging, productive, and personalized to each student’s learning style.
I believe every student learns differently, which is why I focus on clear explanations, positive motivation, and interactive learning techniques to help students succeed academically and feel more confident in the classroom.

I am a patient and supportive tutor who focuses on helping students truly understand concepts instead of just memorizing answers. My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and personalized based on each student’s learning pace and needs. I use step-by-step explanations, practice questions, visual examples, and real-life connections to make learning easier and less stressful.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous concepts and identifying areas the student finds difficult. Then, we work through examples together, practice questions independently, and finish with a quick recap to build confidence and understanding. I always create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with younger students through patience, communication, and creativity. As both a competitive dancer and former camp counselor, I have developed strong leadership, responsibility, and mentoring skills that help me teach in an engaging and motivating way.
My lessons are best suited for elementary and middle school students, as well as Grade 9 and Grade 10 students who are looking for extra support, better study habits, and increased confidence in their learning.
