About Katherine
I am an Architecture student at Cornell University. In my time here, I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while taking advanced STEM and mathematics courses. In high school, I earned a perfect score on the mathematics section of the SAT, along with a top score of 5 on AP BC Calculus. I have 5 years of experience tutoring and teaching students from preschool to high school age in all manner of subjects, including math, science, fine arts, and more.

When explaining math concepts, I prioritize understanding over regurgitation. For instance, I employ visual tools such as graphing calculators and online mathematical simulations. I have also found success using analogy explanations paired with practical applications to ensure my students understand what I am teaching them.
Every lesson plan will be tailored to the student, whether that be prioritizing a chalk-and-blackboard conceptual overview before an exam or helping with regular homework.
I will also teach my students how to best use online study platforms and AI tools to maximize their success in school and for test prep.
