About Dom

I have over five years of experience tutoring both math and physics. Currently, I am studying Computer Science at one of the top universities in the Netherlands, which keeps my analytical and problem-solving skills sharp. Having achieved top marks on my own final high school exams, I know firsthand what it takes to master difficult concepts, study efficiently, and perform under pressure and I use that exact experience to help my students do the same.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Dom, a math tutor specializing in high school and college-level coursework, including SAT/ACT prep, AP classes, and foundational college math. My teaching method is designed to move beyond simple formula memorization, focusing instead on building a genuine understanding of how and why the math works. Using an interactive virtual whiteboard, I keep our sessions structured and collaborative: we break down complex topics step by step, work through guided practice together, and always finish with independent problem-solving to ensure you are fully confident for exam day. By combining a rigorous European mathematical background with a patient, approachable teaching style, my goal is to make advanced math clear and manageable. Additionally, being based in an EST/CST-friendly time zone makes scheduling convenient after-school or evening sessions completely seamless.

I was really struggling with my math classes and SAT prep until I started working with Dom. Because she’s a university student herself, she completely understands the pressure of exams and explains the logic behind the math in a way that actually makes sense, without being boring or overly strict. Best tutor I've ever had!

Dom is an absolutely fantastic tutor! She is incredibly patient and has a unique talent for breaking down complex math problems into simple, easy to understand steps rather than just having you memorize formulas. My grades have improved significantly since we started our sessions. She's always well-prepared, professional, and genuinely cares about students success. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars.
