About Yaman
I’m a senior computer engineering student at Khalifa University. Back in school, I did IGCSE and A-levels and got A* and A grades. I like teaching because I know what it feels like to struggle with a topic and spend ages trying to find the right explanation. I’ve found that I’m good at pinpointing exactly where a student is confused and helping them work through it. I really enjoy seeing that moment when everything clicks, especially in science and math, where concepts are connected and start to make sense together.

I always make sure I really understand what I’m teaching so I can explain it in simple, clear ways that actually make sense. I try to figure out what each student knows already and what they’re struggling with, then help them build up from there at their own pace. I like keeping things relaxed so students feel okay asking questions and don’t feel embarrassed about not knowing something. What I love most is when students start connecting ideas on their own because that’s what I find exciting about science and math: everything fits together and makes sense once you see the bigger picture. People often tell me I’m patient and good at breaking things down, and I just want to help students feel more confident and make learning less stressful.
