About Cheyan
I am a tutor with 5 years work experience in the field. I have tutored and home schooled students from grade 1 until grade 12 and pride myself on producing students that not only see a significant increase in their marks but most importantly, a significant increase in their understanding and comfort with the work in front of them.
I have experience teaching maths, Afrikaans, English, biology, history, geography, hospitality and life orientation from grade 1 until grade 12 and science from grade 1 until 8.

My ideology with regards to teaching is that parrot learning and regurgitation does not serve a student at all. I believe in and always try to implement a learning environment in which my students are taught in a way that allows them to apply their knowledge rather than repeat it. I strongly believe that practice and repetition strengthens a concept in the mind tenfold.
