About Sobia
Hi there! My name is Sobia, and I’m so excited to be your maths tutor! I’m passionate about maths, and I’ve always loved how the subject allows you to solve problems and see things from different perspectives. A little about me, I achieved my GCSEs at the age of 11, which not only gave me a deep understanding of mathematics at a young age but also taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and a clear learning strategy. I want to teach because I truly believe that everyone has the potential to excel in maths, no matter how challenging it may seem at first. I know from my own experience that understanding the “why” behind a problem makes all the difference in developing confidence. My goal is to help you understand the material at a deeper level, so you not only get the right answers but feel empowered to tackle new challenges on your own.

I focus on creating a personalised learning experience for each student, as I believe everyone has unique strengths and learning styles. My approach combines a few key elements: -understanding students' needs -breaking down concepts -use of visuals and practical examples -encouraging active participation My lessons typically last 60 minutes. This can be discussed. One of my most distinctive qualities about mathematics is an early achievement of GCSEs at the age of 11. This demonstrates an advanced understanding of the subject and a unique ability to grasp and apply complex concepts at a young age. It reflects not only your intellectual capacity but also my strong work ethic, dedication, and discipline, all of which are essential qualities for a tutor. I teach students of various levels and ages, from primary school children (ages 7-11) to secondary school students (ages 11-16), focusing primarily on GCSE preparation. However, I am also comfortable teaching younger students looking to build a solid maths foundation or students who are aiming for higher-level exams like A-Levels or even university entrance exams.
