About Amanda
I am a senior at Duke who spent the previous summer teaching Algebra at a school in Harlem. All of my students significantly improved their scores from the beginning of the summer to the end. Additionally, I tutored for 4 years in high school. I tutored in math, history and science.

My teaching method is practice over memorization to master the concepts of mathematics. As a tutor, I like to teach using practice problems while also providing the student with practice problems to work with on their own. I work with my student until they completely understand the concept and can confidently work a problem on their own.
