About Leontyne

I am a mother, grandmother and retired federal employee. I have a Master's degree in teaching, certified to teach 6th-9th grade science. I have lived and worked overseas, so I bring a global flair to my instruction. I also speak French.

About the lesson

All students are unique and they learn differently. I prefer to initially assess their learning style so that our sessions are more productive. I allow students to be an integral part of their learning process, which means I am open to hear and implement their feedback in order to ensure that true learning takes place. I tutor elementary and middle school science and 9th grade biology.

I have had the privilege of working with Mrs. Freeman for several years. She is without a doubt one of the most dedicated teachers a child could have. The students loved and respected her guidance. She will definitely be a asset, please hire her.

I worked with Mrs. Freeman for 2 years in Lexington City Schools N.C. and she was an extraordinary teacher to the students that I served in Exceptional Children. She provided the students with differentiated instruction and made it possible for them to experience success. I also loved her enthusiasm displayed when her students experienced success. I would recommend her for any position that she applies for, she truly is a teacher for the students.
