About Rhys
I learned German to fluency in school and recently completed a degree which was heavily involved in historical linguistic, I interest myself primarily with how languages develop over time, but my studies in German, French, History and Politics have left me with an equal ability to teach and link language to current events. I've spent a lot of time abroad (most recently in Stuttgart), which has been just as valuable for me as time in the classroom -language-learning must be interesting for the pupil, so I prefer to keep my lessons pretty conversational.

I believe that speaking is the best way to become confident in a language - being conversational from an early level is just as important as having a grammatical base to start from. Therefore my lessons tend to be quite discursive. My degree incorporated of ancient Germanic languages, and so I am eager to encourage interest by linking modern German with its relatives and predecessors (including, of course, English.) I can teach any level from beginner to A-Level, or roughly C1 proficiency
