About Sophie
I am a current 2nd year BSci student at the University of Queensland majoring in Biophysics. I graduated from Year 12 in 2017 and received an ATAR of 99.75 (OP1).
I have over 4 years experience in working with students as both a coach of various teams (such as high school debating teams) and upon starting university expanded this to include high school maths.
I am available to teach all levels of high school maths as well as most first-year mathematics subjects (such as MATH1051 and MATH1052 at UQ).

My teaching style focuses on firstly determining your strengths and weaknesses, then using these strengths to help develop areas in which you may have difficulty. Generally students come to me either wanting to refresh or go over certain topics, following by working through questions together which they may have had difficulty with. I then set some questions for the student to work on before a future session to reinforce and refine their skills. Students are also able to contact me during the week if they need short further assistance.

Details
I charge a travel fee of 5$ if it will take me 1hr or longer to travel to your location of choice. For lessons held at the University of Queensland, in the State Library of Queensland, or within a reasonable time frame away from UQ, there is no travel fee.
