About Sofia
As a recent college graduate, I understand the struggles of having professors not answer the questions asked or teach in a style that suits each student. I have worked with several different types of learners throughout my years of school, and I have found that collaboration of different learning styles can be very beneficial. I hope to help others with an open mind and make learning accessible, adaptive to what they need to understand material, and tutor in ways that can be interesting to them.

A lesson plan can start where the student is confused or from the beginning and build. Typical methods I use are to show one way and if it works, great! Otherwise continue with different methods until the student learns effectively. I use relatable examples and situations that can help a student put it into an example of how they can relate to help the lesson stick. I have tutored and helped students from all levels - elementary to college. If there however is a subject or problem that I myself do not understand, I will inform that student and help them look for a better resource.
