About Cleo
I am an Applied Math major at UC Berkeley with a love for math since as long as I can remember. I love seeing the lightbulb moment when ideas click for students, and the excitement when the problems become satisfying. I enjoy helping others find ease in math by making concepts clear. I have built a strong foundation in imparting mathematical proficiency throughout my years of tutoring. I have helped students improve academically and increased their enjoyment of mathematics. I look forward to strengthening the understanding of every new student I meet.

I guide students to understand concepts through targeted prompts and questions which any bridge gaps in their learning. I impart problem-solving strategies which the students will be able to use in their own work beyond our lessons. I teach students the "why" behind each mathematical idea and process. In this way, the learning and practice becomes intuitive. I tutor middle through high school students in math, with particular experience tutoring geometry, pre-calculus/calculus, trigonometry, and algebra.
