About Hamish
Hey there! I'm Hamish, a 19 year old with a huge enthusiasm for the STEM subjects. I'm going into my second year at the University of St Andrews. Whilst not at uni I live in Stirling, Scotland
I love teaching simply because it enables people. As someone who, at my age, is not out of touch with the secondary school system - I'm well aware of how difficult it is to develop a students' unique thinking process in classes of 30 people. I aim to provide a tailored experience to help students realise their potential.

My methodology is centred around learning that builds genuine intuition for a subject, giving students the problem-solving skills that will allow them to excel both now and in future phases of learning. My typical lesson duration is 1 hour.
I have experience teaching both STEM and Software Development in high schools and primary schools for extracurricular initiatives. I myself was the Dux (Scottish equivalent to valedictorian) of Stirling High School, with 4 Advanced Higher As in Maths (top of school), Physics, Mechanics (top of school) and Computing (top of school).
[Note I also achieved straight As at Higher/N5]
Currently I read Computer Science on an integrated masters at the University of St Andrews. My modules are in Maths, Physics and Computer Science. My module average is a 17.8/20 (the first class threshold is a 16.5).
